Set back from the busy A246, just six miles outside of Guildford town centre sits Clandon Wood Nature Reserve and Natural Burial Ground.

The 31 acre reserve is home to lakes, woodland and a wildflower meadow, which in the month of May is a swaying haze of flowers pricked with the purple of thistles, sunshine buttercups, orchids and over 200 other species of wildflowers.

Proud of it's setting:

"Clandon Wood retains it's beauty through Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter."

An afternoon of live music performed at the stylish glass walled pavilion provides the focal point for families to sit down and tuck into their picnics. When ready to see some more of the site, people can clamber aboard one of the horse and cart tours weaving around the tranquil meadow. Music will come from a host of artists from Guildford's well established ACM. (Academy of Contemporary Music).

Raffle, tombola and ice-cream stand there on the day.

Further information to be released in time.

Entry: Free but with suggested donations to benefit Cherry Trees

Parking: Free on site

Other need to know information:

People are encouraged to bring their own pre-packed picnics and there will not be food sold on site.

Whilst our charities primary aim is to provide respite breaks for children and young people with disabilities we are also looking at every fundraising event as an opportunity to respect our local and wider environment. We hope people will consider and limit the amount of plastic wrapped goods and help clear up their own rubbish when leaving the site. A recycling point will be available.
