A date and route has yet to be confirmed.

If you are interested in running and raising money for us, please keep re-visiting this page over the next few months for more updates which we will share as and when we know them. Alternatively, if you have any queries, please contact Anna on the Challenges desk on: [email protected]

Regular runner or first time entrant ? Doesn't matter who you are or how far you've run in the past, make the Vitality 10,000 on May the 25th 2020 your goal to go for. Shake off your winter warmers and get #cherryactive lacing up for us!

What is the Vitality 10,000 ?

Cited in the past as the Best  10K running event by reader's of Women's Running magazine it's hard to think of a better urban route.

Organised by London Marathon events, over 14,000 people have taken past in previous years with thousands of runners snaking their way past numerous London landmarks.

What's the route and why is this event such a good race ?

The benefit of this event is a flat road race which means no hills and being able to push on past some of the best landmarks through the City of Westminster and City of London. In one run you will see the famous sights Admiralty Arch, Nelson's Column, St Paul's Cathedral, The Bank of England, The Old Bailey and then turning towards home past Somerset House, Big Ben, The Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey. Tick, tick, tick!

Does it matter if I haven't done a 10K before ?

Not at all! The really nice element about this event is that it has the ethos of the London Marathon running through it. First time runners are as welcomed and egged on, whilst for experienced runners it's a date to have your focus set on in your calendar and lets you push the pace on the flat.

Is it a massive fundraising target ?

For this event, we hope runners can ask their supporters to get behind them and help them reach the very attainable target of £250.00 - that breaks down to asking 30 friends, colleagues or family members to donate £8 each.

You could be making visits like a circus entertainer for the afternoon possible for our children, if you raise £250.00 in sponsorship for your 10k run. Our children love it when they get to see the LED light show or have a chance at blowing giant bubbles - Can you give them moments like these at Cherry Trees ?

How do I sign up ?

To take one of the two Cherry Trees charity places, all you need to do is complete our sign up form.

Runners will need to contact Cherry Trees to secure their place with a deposit payment of £35 within 7 days from sending this completed application form back to us, which can be emailed to: [email protected]

Call Anna on the challenges on 01483 222 507 to make your payment.

NOTE: all runners will need to ensure their details are registered on the official Vitality 10,000 portal to ensure their charity bond entry with London Marathon Events is registered and recorded. The deadline to do so is Tuesday 28th April by midday.

Failure to do so will mean runners won't be able to take part. The portal registration is a joint process between Cherry Trees and the runner.

What happens after I have signed up and paid my deposit ?

We can help you set up a free and easy to use challenge fundraising page, promote you on our social media channels and can send you fundraising materials to help you with your fundraising asks to your supporters. We like to keep in touch with our runners sharing their training and progress right up to race day and after.

Is there any training advice or information on what I can eat around my runs to keep me fuelled and fit ?

Yes ! The Vitality 10,000's website has some really good and easy to read sections:
