My newest challenge is to ride 100 miles through London and the Surrey Hills!

I've decided that I need to start putting my arduous physical events to good use! There is no better place to start than fundraising for Cherry Trees, a local charity where every donation makes a genuine difference, no matter how big or small.

I will be amongst 25,000 cyclists taking on a 100 mile cycling challenge like no other through London and Surrey. The Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 will start in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, then travel through the capital and onto Surrey's stunning country roads and through the Surrey Hills before a spectacular finish on The Mall in central London.

Cherry Trees is a local charity providing home from home specialist short breaks for children and young people aged 0-19 with a range of disabilities including learning, physical and sensory impairments.

Set in the peaceful village of East Clandon, near Guildford, Cherry Trees provides a high quality service within a relaxed and caring setting.

Stays vary from after school for tea and play a few hours, a weekend or even a couple of weeks, while family get a much needed break.

Cherry Trees is a unique place, providing professional care in a safe, stimulating and fun environment, where every child is valued for who they are. The children and young people get to spend time with friends and enjoy new experiences and opportunities, while their families have a much-needed break.

With the help of contributions towards the costs, a child’s stay can happen. Some examples are:
£15 for a child to stay for tea
£50 for a child to visit for a day
£110 for a child to stay for an evening and overnight
£150 for a child to have a 24 hour visit

I really hope you can donate towards this great cause.
Thank you all!
