With our four challengers split across the UK and Holland, they have had to make the decision based on the world at large, restrictions and quarantine guidelines that they won't be able to meet to walk the 3 Peaks together as they had hoped. With a suitably challenging Plan B up their sleeves, all 4 have stepped forwards and said they will be testing themselves with a Virtual Half Marathon instead!

Their run route and nominated day for when they will complete their virtual half marathon will be made known soon, but in the interim the team have sent us their summer training update.

SUMMER 2021 TRAINING -update 22nd July 2021.

Training on all four fronts is well underway. With several hundred pounds already raised in donations, the team have been training hard in the warmer months.

Nick who is spending the summer in Corfu has been using the hillside elevation to push his fitness, running at least 21Km each week. Great effort and thanks for the photo sent from Holland! Vishal and Madhan have taken time during family day's out to train at UK beauty spots including The South Downs National Park, Birling Gap and even Weymouth Beach. Thomas meanwhile has been running through gorgeous countryside to push his distance fitness.

From Vishal one of the 4 runners:

"Cherry Trees is a wonderful organisation that does so much to support children with disabilities and their families. Thanks to Cherry Trees, the children get the opportunity to go a place where they can do fun activities, enjoy themselves and have a change of scenery whilst socialising, making friends and working towards achieving their personal goals.

The hard working parents of the children, who are on the go almost all the time, also get an opportunity to relax, while knowing that their children are safe and happy.

One of us also has a sister who goes to Cherry Trees, and she absolutely loves being there, and it is a lifeline for the family.

Supporting Cherry Trees can help them provide the much needed support to the children and their families."

Thank you for your support.
