  1. About us

Who we are

Cherry Trees helps to keep families together by providing home-from-home care for children with complex disabilities and a meaningful break for their families.

Every child who visits Cherry Trees is valued for who they are. We provide professional care in a safe, stimulating and fun environment, ensuing that our children enjoy new experiences, develop their life skills and enhance their independence. This enables their families to have a much-needed break from caring, where they can rest and recharge without worry.

Cherry Trees is a lifeline for the families of more than 60 children who are regularly cared for, whether that be after school for a few hours, overnight or for a longer stay.

We are the key charitable support supplier of short-break provisions in Surrey, offering 24-hour support 7 days a week for 48 weeks of the year to children from Surrey, Hampshire, Sussex and West London. We support children and young people up to the age of 19 with a range of complex disabilities including learning, physical and sensory impairments.

We also look to provide bursary support to new and existing families on a financial and circumstantial basis.

Purpose - To be a force for good by transforming lives through exceptional home from home care for children with all disabilities and their families.

Vision - Our doors will always be open to families in need throughout the South East, by being a much loved and supported charity.

Values - We strive to ensure that all children are happy and safe while at Cherry Trees and that their families receive a meaningful break. To do this we keep our 6 core values at the forefront of everything we do.

Every donation, no matter how small or large, makes a difference to families who need respite care for a child with complex disabilities. Your donation helps to keep families together. Thank you so much for your support. You may also, only if you wish, choose to add the cost of the bank transaction fee to your donation. This is 2% of your donation amount and means that our costs are reduced, with more money available for our charitable activities. Thank you.
