Our Head of Fundraising Mike Hey enjoyed chatting to Radio Woking’s Tim Matthews recently, all about Cherry Trees and our upcoming fundraiser Jazz in the Vineyard.
Mike spoke to Tim about the vital short break respite care we offer, and how truly transformational this can be for children with complex disabilities and their families. They also talked about the challenging funding climate, with Mike emphasising how important community support is as we rely on fundraising to cover a third of our total costs.

It was great to be able to spread the word about Jazz in the Vineyard 2026, which we can’t wait to host at the picturesque High Clandon Estate Vineyard. We’re so grateful for the ongoing generosity of our longstanding supporters, vineyard owners Sybilla and Bruce Tindale, as well as the support of local jazz promoter, Guildford Jazz. This year the theme will be celebrating the “Great Ladies of Jazz”, with the Sarah Jane Eveleigh Quintet, featuring Martin Shaw, providing a tribute to the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Betty Carter, Sara Vaughan, and Peggy Lee.

Thank you for having us Radio Woking, it’s always a pleasure sharing our news with your listeners!
